brian Holt                                          Freelance Lighting & Production Technician

Brian is based in Edinburgh working freelance as a sucessfull Production and Lighting Designer/Technician at various venues around Scotland and the U.K. 

                                                                                                                                             

Venues include Edinburgh’s EICC Technical Services Dept, the SECC Clyde Auditorium contracted to Qdos, Summerhall at Edinburgh Fringe 2015, C venues at Edinburgh Fringe 'Pop Up Venues' and various Lighting Design and Production Management contracts with both local and international companies.

Recent lighting designs have been seen at The Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. Independent Theatre Festival, Berlin. Paphos Capital of Culture Festival,Cyprus.    

                                                                                                                                                 Before working freelance, Brian worked full time for Live Systems Audio and Light Ltd, Edinburgh as Lighting and Sound Assistant, promoted to Acting Hire/Projects Manager during the Company's growth. Then with Black Light Ltd, Edinburgh Hire and Events Department.     

                                                                                                                                                    Brian is experienced in lighting design, rigging, truss work, projection/AV and operation of lighting desks such as GrandMA2 lite, GrandMA on PC, Pearl 2000, Tiger, Tiger Touch, ION, Expression,Obsession. Also live sound design and operation. Project Management and temporary venues.
